The File Copy Test - Windows consists of creating 9006 files totaling a size of 1060MB. The creation, read, and copy tests were performed with the graph differentiating which is which.
From the test above, I would expect the Raptors to outperform the other drives in the benchmark, but it didn't do it by much. In fact, I was surprised that the WD4000KD out performed the WD2500KS in this test. Both drives buffer to disk specification are the same, rated at 748Mb/s
Here is a real shocker; this drive outperforms my Raptors in RAID 0. Coming in with the highest read speed for this test is a definite plus. Mind you, this is no fluke. All these tests were conducted a minimum of 3 times with reboots and defrags between each of them. The results are then averaged out to get the score you see.
This test demonstrates more of what I would expect from our Raptors. As you can see, this drive nudges out its "faster" sibling, the WD2500KS.

This drive is performing very nicely compared to the other drives.
This drive is continuing to impress me with its read scores in these tests. A thing to note is that this is copying and reading a TON of small files. You will see that things change later on when we start to get to the bigger files.
That is one close score. I had to rerun this test 5 times to just be sure. This drive came in just a horse's hair behind the fastest of the drives in the copy test.
