The last picture of the printer is another side view, this time of the printer by itself.

Altogether, an impressive looking piece of equipment. You will have noticed the paper cassette on top of the printer; it is a fairly straight forward assembly. Each sheaf of paper comes with a protective cover sheet, to ensure you don't get smudges on the glossy paper. If this happens, you will definitely notice them when the prints come out. To insert the paper, lift the dust cover on top of the cassette, press down on the lever on the front, insert the paper and close the dust cover lid. Once that is accomplished, open the cassette slot cover on the printer and slide the cassette into place. You will need to attach the power cable and, if you are going to print from your PC, either a printer cable or USB cable. Now, make sure everything is plugged in and turn on the switch, located on the front of the printer. At this point we need to look at the control panel on the top front of the printer. On the far left we have the mode dial. This dial is where you select the function you wish to use. There are three function selections (Input, Paper, and Setup), four format selections (Standard, Card, Photo Album, Index) and one Picture Select (for use with a media card to select the specific picture you wish to print). In the center is the LCD display. Here is where you can see which functions you are working with. The arrow buttons are used to select pictures to print, choices for various functions and to enter selections. The large button on the far right is the print button, used in conjunction with media cards. If printing from a PC, this button is not used.
The LCD is a black and white display. This can create problems if you want to adjust picture brightness or contrast. A color monitor would make that task much more enjoyable.
Once you have installed the drivers for the printer, I won't go into that here since it's as simple as inserting the cd and following the directions on-screen; it's time to print some quality photos. How you go about doing this is up to you. You can either select print from the file menu or use the included image management software, Camedia Master. The simple method is to select the option from the file menu, although manipulation of the image is limited using this choice. My preference is to use the Camedia software, shown here.
From this menu you can select to browse your images, procure images from either a digital camera or media or begin to manipulate your images into indexes, albums, postcards, etc. In the pictures below you get a feel of some of the option screens you can use. They are, in order of appearance, postcards, albums, calendar and index.
